For those of you who have no idea that i L O V E Flamingos - here ya go. A friend of mine visited San Diego's wild animal park last summer and when she saw these remarkable creatures she thought of me and took some pictures. I have loved flamingos for as long as i can remember. It all started with Floyd (look below). Floyd was a Christmas gift, given to me by my mom's best friend, Auntie Carol. When i first opened him up - i ran to my bedroom thinking it was a pair of slippers (after all he was in a shoe box, i was 9 years old and i got embarrassed very easily). Finally my mom came in and explained to me that he was not a pair of slippers but something very special. I came back out and pulled him out of the box and fell instantly in love with him. My mom was telling me that he was exactly what i have asked for - we were in a store and i saw him and wanted him. So when my Auntie Carol asked my mom what is was that i really wanted she told her about Floyd. He was so big and had such a long neck. I used to hang him around my neck. He is what started my fascination for flamingos. Now i have a collection of them sitting in a box in Cora's room. Who knows , she may be into them one of these days.

Thank You so much Jody ;)

Flamingos are rather fascinating. I watched a special that said they get their pink color from eating the brine shrimp, but I bet you already knew that! Floyd is adorable. I think you need to hang that sign in your house.
