Last week, Eli came and asked me why we haven't been to the library in 300 years. He doesn't have time figured out yet, and its only been about 8 months or so. I thought since we weren't doing anything that it was a good day to go back (we used to go every Friday before i had Cora). As we were getting all of our stuff together i went looking for my library card and couldn't find it. Eli than asked me if he was old enough to have his own card or did he have to wait till he was 5. In his head he has it that he will be able to do anything and everything when he turns 5 years old. I told him he did not have to wait and if he wanted one he can get one. So we were off (without my card) and once we found all the books we wanted we went up to the counter - first to tell her i lost my card, to which she replied "Oh, its in the lost box" oops... Than for Eli to tell her "May i please have my very own card?" There was no prep involved, he asked very politely all by himself. So he signed his name (with a little help from mom - those lines that they want you to sign are so small) and checked out his books. He than proceeded to put his card in his wallet along with his 2 - 1 dollar bills (alot more than mamma has in her wallet) and put it away in the library bag. What an exciting day for him.

So funny-Eli reminds me a lot of Finn. He always likes to throw big numbers out there. Like "the oatmeal is taking 100 minutes to cook".
haha.. so fun. I remember getting my own library card in the later years of Junior High... and I thought I was pretty cool then!! If I was there I would tell Eli that he is 300 times COOLER than me :)
