Our Mothers Day Outing

This is incredibly out of order.... Sorry!

I have been a Mother "Mamma" for almost 5 years. I remember when we first found out I was pregnant, all i could do was laugh - than call my sister to see if i was using the test correctly. Gabe and I were so excited. We didn't have a plan, we lived in a guest house next to my in-laws, i just got layed off from my job, Gabe had to quit school in order to support us and i developed a blood clot that went to my lungs. Things were really looking up - to say the least. But we were excited! Since our 1st year of marriage, Gabe and i were throwing names back and forth - just in case we needed them. We decided on Elijah Gabriel and Cora Lynn.

Once i saw our beautiful boy, i was in awe of finally meeting him. This feeling of love swept over me - not the same type of love i had for Gabe, a motherly love i now get to have with my special boy. I had my up's and down's (especailly the first year, with all the adorable screaming and lack of sleep) but God showed me who He wanted me to be through this little man. He has been teaching me (and still has alot to show me) how to be the best mommy and spiritual guidance i can be to Eli. Watching him grow has brought joy to my heart. He has always been a very affectionate and cuddly type of boy. These past (almost) 5 years have been a blessing to me (us). Our Bubba Boy.

This past September we were blessed with our 2nd child - Cora Elisabeth. You are probably wondering where Lynn went - than again you probably aren't. Well we decided on Elisabeth instead - after Gabe's sister. If one wasent wonderful enough - having two has been incredible. She is so sweet and is such a mamma's girl. She laughs and smiles all the time - unless she doesnt know you. She is only 7 1/2 months old, but is already sort of showing who she is (yes, we know that can change in a heart beat) . She has her nicknames - Cora Bethie, Cora Bella, Little Sissy, Baby, Jelly Bean (from her daddy) and Little Lady. Having a girl helps me to have a stronger desire to want to be a better wife and mother. I want God to use me as an example of how a wife and mother should be for her. My prayer and desire for her is that she comes to know God at a early age - so she can serve Him and Love him her whole life.. I am so excited to watch her grow, and am curious to see what kind of woman she turns out to be.

I thank God for putting our family together. I also thank Him for giving me a wonderful husband and our kids a wonderful daddy to guide us and to encourage us to draw closer to God, and who loves the Lord with all his heart.

For Mothers Day, we took a family outing to Shashone Falls. Its about a 2 hour drive from our little blue house and well worth it... Here are some pics:
