Snake River Stampede

Last night we went to Idaho's Annual Snake River Stampede. This was our 3 time going and Eli loved it more than ever. Gigi and Papa bought all the kids cowboy hats and they got free bandannas, toy horses or bulls and free water bottles. We had such a great time. We also ate lots of -not so good for you, but - yummy food.
This was also Cora's first time and she had a ball. She was laughing and clapping and also got to try alot of new food - some of which didnt settle very well in her belly..... oops.
We get there about 1/2 hour before it starts to watch the mutton busting. For those of you non-cow people, mutton busting is when a kid - between the ages of 5 and 9 try to keep themselves on a running like mad sheep. It is hilarious! Now that Eli is 5 it is something he is putting on his "Now that i'm 5" list. We also saw bull ridding (which Eli is certain he could handle once he gets as big as his daddy) and so much more....
The picture below is of a man called "John Payne - One Armed Bandit".In his one hand he used a bull whip to direct the animals, so he had to ride using only his legs. He was awesome. He rode his horse on top of his trailer and brought out 2 HUGE buffalo's which then wrangled them on top of the trailer. We had so much fun watching him... Yes that is him standing on top of his horse... Very Cool!
