Yes, its a girl... Today we went to the parinatologist and were able to find out what our little bundle is. She checked every part of this little lady, naming every part and measuring every part. I layed there watching the tv in front of us admiring and in awe of this wonderful creature. Gabe and Eli were beside me. Eli 1/2 watching the screen and 1/2 reading his magazine, being able to see the arms, feet and profile when it was pointed out to him but not caring to much for the rest of her.
This was special for Gabe because it was his first revealing. When i was pregnant with Eli we didnt have insurance so we were not able to find out what he was. Then i developed a blood clot that went to my lungs and ended up in the hospital. There they had to monitor the baby. Gabe went home to sleep for a few hours and my mom came to take his place on keeping me company. While Gabe was gone a technition came in to do an ultra sound (my first one while in the hospital) and she blurted out "Yup, he's a boy!" Our eyes practically popped out of your heads, we looked and "Yup, he's a boy!" There he was spread eagle with all his glory. I was sad that Gabe wasent there to experience it, but so so happy that we were able to know what we were having. When it was time for us to find out what Cora was, Gabe was told about a last minute meeting he had to attend so a friend of ours told me she would go with me to protect me from the evil doctor who was going to do the ultrasound.
So i think this meant alot to him.
Once the tech told us that we were having a girl - Eli's face was pricless. He wanted a brother so badly and even as we were waiting he mentioned that he couldnt wait to see the boy. Well, his face was pretty much an "Oh No!" face. He was holding it together well, since we told him that we were going to be happy with whatever we were going to have, but once the tech found out that this was going to be his 2nd sister she told him that "with two sisters you get to be king of the mountain", the look was gone and a huge smile appeared on his face. We also told him that having 2 sisters was very special. That God created his 2 sisters very special for our family and now that Cora was going to have a sister she would most likely be leaving him alone once the baby sister gets older. He was sold.... having another sister was a great thing. Until the next time i get pregnant (God willing) and its a girl, i am not sure these lines will work on him then :)
We got to see her wave, wiggle and "talk". Her mouth was moving and it was again incredible to watch. We feel so blessed that God would give these wonderful and amazing kids to us to raise for His glory. They bring joy to us and we wouldnt be whole without them in our family. I can't wait to see what this little lady will be like. Will she be creative, emotional, sweet and cuddly like Eli or will she be loud, funny, active and silly like Cora..... or should we be expecting something completly different.. I guess we will know soon enough ;)
All we need know is name.......... Oh Boy, i mean girl!!!!

Kenna also just suggested Suzy Sunbeam.
HUH????? Tell her that we will take it into consideration.. but not to be to sad if we end up going with something less...... out doorsie and a something with alot less "S's" in it ;)
Congratulations! Eli will make a wonderful big brother to two sweet sisters. =0) I'm sure Cora will be grateful in the years to come!
