The Nana Tree's

For Eli's first Christmas Nana *Gabe's mom* gave him a small charlie brown tree with some ornaments and a star for the top. Last year we had to get rid of it - it was bent and limbs were falling off - not to mention 2 years before a dog that belonged to some friends of ours decided it was a good place to mark his territory (no idea why we didnt get rid of it then ;) anyhow, we had to get rid of his beloved Nana Tree. We took Eli to Walmart ;) and let him pick out another tree - he found one with lights on it and was sold. All of the ornaments as well have disappeared over the years, some eaten by dog's other's by kids ;) he still has his star though - his one thing left of what Nana gave him - something he will cherish forever.

Nana came to stay with Eli while i was having Cora and they went out and bought her very own Nana tree with some cute ornaments.

Last year we decorated Cora's tree for her, this year she was able to do it all by herself *with some help from bubba*.

I told her that the hooks were sharp so everytime she picked up an ornament she would say "Ouch, that one hurt" then again "Ouch, that one hurt to" then finally "Oh Man, they all hurt"... Very silly girl.

I love this one - Eli is looking at his tree with such a sweet expression on his face.another tradition that we started is we go to he thrift store and the kids get to pick out a ornament for their Nana trees.... Its a very sweet tradition that Nana started and we hope to do it for along time in memory of our Nana..
