While in Washington we spend the day with some wonderful friends at Seattle's Zoo. It was so beautiful - Green everywhere.. Tree's everywhere... Awesome animals everywhere... We were in awe. My kids were pretty excited to see animals they have only ever seen on TV (our zoo is pretty small). Our favorite by far were the birds of prey and since we just saw them a few weeks ago, it made it even more exciting.
The zoo had 2 hippos, they were mostly underwater so no great shots - until i came across this amazing hippo rider - had to get a shot of him.
One of Cora's favorite's was the elephant (just like her nana)
I just realized we have no pics of Charlie - she was there but was hanging out in the stroller with her friend Ari.
Peregrine Falcon - AWESOME!!! She was flying all around us trying to get the toy the keeper was throwing around.. Again AWESOME!!!
She caught it ;) Isnt she cute??
I want to say barn owl??? Still, pretty cool...
They had a whole exhibit just to feed these birds - Aunt Bethie and Nana would of waited outside :) but the kids loved it.
Big Grizzly Bears - pretty neat
and my all time favorite animals - how could one not love these animals???
