Part 1 of Eli turning 8 years old.......

When Eli turned 5 he asked the question " What can i do when i'm 5?" For mothers day that year we went and watched some cliff jumpers/parachute guys and Eli thought for a moment (that actually lasted a long time) that could be something he could do. So the conversation turned into "When i'm 5 can i jump off of a cliff? When i'm 5 can i jump out of an airplane?" and so on.... Our answer of course was always "NO WAY!!!!!" and then the conversation was dropped for a bit.

When Eli turned 6 he asked "What can i do when i'm 6?" (this would make for a better post if i could remember how the story went...... oh well) "When i turn 6 can i ride a motorcycle?" "When i turn 6 can i jump out of a plane on a motorcycle?" To which we responded with a big fat "NO!"

When Eli turned 7 he asked "What can i do when i'm 7?" We took him and Cora to their (and my first) air show with some dear friends (our AIR BUDDIES ;) which was after his birthday. "What can i do NOW that i'm 7?" "Can i fly with the Blue Angles?" We answered with someday..

This year when he turned 8 he asked "Now that i'm 8 can i shoot off the fireworks this year?" Nice try little man... At least he thinks big ;)

The week of his 8th birthday he had the "time of my life"..... 2 days before his birthday some wonderful friends of ours came over with gifts, pizza and a sprinkler that hooks up to the hose. He had a great time.

On his actual birthday was the day of our bible study's brunch to end a good year. The ladies had a cake with his name on it and he thought it was the neatest thing ever.

more to come...
