We started a thing last year where we let the kids dress up and we go out to dinner. This year we decided to do the same. Our kids got their first store bought costumes and they were able to pick (with our approval that is ;) their own. Eli choose Bumblebee from Transformers, even though he has never even seen it. My mom and dad gave him a bumblebee transformer for his birthday this year and he has liked him ever since. Cora, got to pick her's out first. On her last day of dance class they were aloud to dress up - so she got first dibs. She picked an all pink Super Girl costume. Her boots are the best part about. Charlie totally scored on hers. We were not going to make her get one - last year she didnt like dressing up so much, so this year we were just going to see what she wanted to do. We went to a kids consignment store and she saw a monkey costume. It was pretty worn and kind of gross, but she loved it. My friend who was with me said that they have them at Old Navy and they were half off. So that night after dinner we drove over, she saw the monkey, got very excited and once we saw that it was 75% off, we shared in her excitement. She put it on once we got home and called it her "Monka Suit". It was seriously the cutest thing ever.
This year we picked Wingers to go to and invited our friends the D Fam. Mr D had to work so Mrs D and the little deeders came. We had alot of fun with them. After we ate we went to Mr Tom's house and visited with him and Mr Donny. I think they enjoyed having us there. We got a picture but its on Gabe's phone.
Then we took our kids to Winco (lots of W's last night ;) to pick out a candy from the "bulk" bins. They had a great time trying to decide which one they wanted. We then went home, they got to pick a few pieces and then it was jammie, teeth brush and bed time.the only bummer part is that Eli caught the dreaded stomach bug that has been going around. He's doing well know, just a bit worn out.... ;)
