Skatin Time

This last Thursday we went to a all homeschool roller skating day. Eli has never skated before - and didnt really get the hang of it, but had a blast and wants to do it again. I stayed outside the rink and baby watched. They let you bring your stroller onto the rink so Mimi was able to take all of the kids out - which Cora loved.

This was Eli's idea of a great time. He would go on the inside of the rink, hold on to the rail and then come back the other way on the other side of the rail - which was carpet. He did this over and over again. He only adventured out onto the rink a few times with Gabe, but it mostly consisted of Gabe holding him up. Not to much fun for Dad ;)
Here is one of the times Gabe was able to get him out and this is what they pretty much looked like all the way around.

Gabe decided to tuck his shirt in so kids didnt see it as something to grab onto in case they fell... aka: Eli. He looked like he stepped out of an 80's movie. It was histerical!
Over all it was great time. The kids did great and the adults did great. They also have races which they do by age group. The last race was for parents. We tried to talk Gabe into participating but he said "No Way!"

Oh well, maybe next time ;)
