and her first time meeting her brother and sister. Eli and Cora both stayed at my sister's house, they had a wonderful time playing with their cousins. The night we dropped them off Eli asked Gabe if he get's to stay at Mimi's house forever. Gabe of course told him no then he said - ok how about 3 day's then. He does love being over there. Cora was a bit emotional at first. She wouldnt leave my sister's side the first day, but the second day she was good to go. Once Charlet was born we kept sending pictures to my sister's phone. All the kids came and made comments but Cora wanted to see more. She would find Kate's phone and ask to see the baby. So of course we were taking this as a good sign. When it was time for us to go home i asked my sister if she could just bring the kids over since they were coming over to meet Charlet (for the first time) anyways. That gave me time to take a shower * if i have to - i will take a shower at the hospital - if i can hold out (gross huh?) then i will* and to get adjusted with having a new baby in the house. Once we heard the van pull up - Gabe went out to help and went to get Cora.... She started crying for Mimi to get her. Then once they got in the house - Eli was so happy to meet his new sister, Cora not so much (as you can see from the picture below :) Here is the first picture of our new family of 5.
Eli was all about wanting to hold her and kiss her and tell her how cute she was.... Cora kept calling her "it" or "the baby".
A picture of all the cousins. If you look really closely you will notice Cora glaring at Charet out of the corner of her eye....
Like i said this was also my sister's first time meeting Charlet. She was so kind to take on her nephew and niece (even though she was incredibly exhausted) that she couldnt wait to get her hands on this little one. We are so wonderfully blessed to have my sister, brother in law, nieces and nephew being so close to us and being a huge and special part of our lives. We love you all so very much. Thank you for helping out so much and for loving our kids.
For our Heter family - we wish you all could have been here to celebrate with us. We miss being apart of your lives every day, we love you and can't wait for you to meet Charlet.
